Fresh probe into murders of journos demanded

President of a faction of BFUJ, Giash Kamal Chowdhury and its Secretary General Ruhul Amin Gazi addressed the rally as chief guest and special guest respectively. It was president over by KMUJ President Md Anisuzzaman.

The rally was addressed by, among others, Khulna City BNP President M Nurul Islam MP, city BNP Secretary Nazul Islam Manzu, city Ameer of Jamaat Mian Golam Parwar MP, Shaikh Ashrafuzzaman, city Awami League secretary Mizanur Rahman Mizan.

They also demanded reinvestigation of cases filed in connection with the murders of Dainik Purbanchal reporter Shaikh Haroon-or-Rashid, Khulna Correspondent of New Age Manik Chandra Saha, Dainik Janmabhumi Editor Humayun Kabir Balu, Khulna Bureau Chief of Dainik Sangram Shaikh Belaluddin, Dainik Anirvan reporter Nohor Ali.

Earlier at noon, the BFUJ and KMUJ leaders submitted a memorandum to the Khulna Deputy Commissioner for arrest of killers of Belaluddin.
