Employees lock Dinajpur Medical College Hospital for salary

They also locked the college administrative building.

As many as 41 staff of the hospital are demonstrating for the last three days for payment of their salaries and absorbing their jobs under government revenue head. Procession and meeting were also held on the college campus.

According to hospital sources, the staffers were appointed under a project of Dinajpur Medical College two years ago. They are yet to be absorbed under revenue head.

Students alleged that their studies are being hampered greatly due to the agitation.

A leader of the agitating staffers told this correspondent on condition of anonymity that their movement would continue until realisation of their demands.

When contacted, the DMCH principal admitted the fact and told this correspondent that he had informed the ministry concerned regarding the demands of the staff.
