Mother gets life for killing children

According to court sources, Ayesha Khatun, 25, wife of Azam Khan of Shakharia village in Gopalpur upazila, strangled her one year-old son Arif and three year-old daughter Kalpona and threw their bodies in a nearby waterbody on November 10, 2000. Her husband had filed a case with Gopalpur thana.

After examining witnesses and records, Second Additional District and Session Judge Mohammad Abdus Salam delivered the judgement against Ayesha Khatun.
