Charge sheet in journalist Belal murder case today

Six persons have been accused in the charge sheet. The case was filed with Khulna thana under Section 302 CrPC.

The accused are Jamaat-e-Islami leader Shahabuddin Lashkar Dhira, Ekhlasur Rahman, Iqbal Hossain Shadhin, Rafiqul Islam Chowdhury alias Hasan, Sirajul Islam Siraj and Yunus Shaikh alias Goda Yunus.

Charge sheet of the case filed under the Explosive Substances Act was submitted to court on April 25, naming alleged extremists Shadhin, Hasan, Siraj and drug trader Goda Yunus.

Journalist Belal was critically injured in a bomb attack on the night of February 5 in front of Khulna Press Club. He died on February 11 at Dhaka Combined Military Hospital.
