Threat to cancel Rag Day at KU
Khulna University Vice Chancellor Prof Mahbub Hasan, Emdadul Huq of English Department and Prof Aiyaz Hasan Chisty, Director of Student Affairs, have been threatened of 'dire consequences' if they do not stop Rag Day programme on the campus.
The threat was given in hand-written letters sent to them by post. The letters did not bear name of the sender.
It has been mentioned in the letters that the university and all its residential halls will come under bomb attacks if Rag Day is at all held as Islam does not permit such 'obnoxious function'.
It may be mentioned here that two bombs exploded outside Khulna University on August 17.
