Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel yesterday took away two Bangladeshi nationals from Nalguria village in Akhaura upazila.

According to BDR sources and villagers, Md Alal, 14, and Md Yunus, 20, were taken away by BSF men and Indians when they were cutting grass in a field near their house.

However, Md Alal managed to escape and came back home. He was admitted to a local hospital. But Yunus is yet to come back home. Villagers apprehended that he might have been gunned down by BSF.

When contacted, the Commonding Officer (CO) of No-1 BDR Battalion, Lt Col Sayed Quamuruzzaman, said he sent protest letters to BSF but is yet to get the reply.
