Three honoured posthumously in Nilphamari

Nilphamari Students' Welfare Association, a Dhaka based organisation, honoured Asir Uddin Ahmed, Abu Nazem Mohammad Ali and Dabir Uddin Ahmed in recognition to their selfless service to the nation during their lifetime.
Dabir Uddin Ahmed, a prominent politician and former vice president of the then Pakistan National Awami Party (NAP) dedicated his life for welfare of the downtrodden. He also worked for promotion of education in the neglected area.
Asir Uddin Ahmed, a renowned educationist and former headmaster of Nilphamari Government Boys' High School worked relentlessly for education of the poor but meritorious students.
Abu Nazem Mohammad Ali, ex-headmaster of Nilphamari Government Girls' High School worked hard for promotion of female education. He visited from door to door and convinced parents to send their daughters to school.
