More protests against bomb attacks

They blamed the government for its failure to ensure security and safety of judges, lawyers and litigants. Such incidents took place again as the government failed to take effective measures against militant fundamentalist groups who are creating violence ion the name of Islam, its said.

The statement alleged that the government is not taking stern action against the bombers as they have connections with powerful leaders in the ruling parties.

It urged the people to unite against the evil forces, who are out to make the country a failed state and demanded exemplary punishment to the persons responsible.

Anti Imperialism and Communalism Teachers Forum at RU in a separate statement condemned Monday's bomb attacks and demanded stern action against the perpetrators.

The Rajshahi Advocate Bar Association (RABA) in a separate statement condemned the attacks and blamed the government for this.

Expressing deep concern over recurring bomb attacks, they also requested the police administration not to harass lawyers or court employees in the name of security and demanded compensation for the victims' families.

The Sammilita Ainjibi Samannaya Parishad (SASP), a pro-opposition lawyers' forum, also condemned the incidents.

Government's ineffective steps against terrorism encouraged militant fundamentalist groups to launch such bomb attacks again, it said.

Rajshahi city Awami League took out a procession in the city Tuesday evening protesting the bomb blasts and demanding punishment to the culprits.
