Abducted boy yet to be rescued

The 12-year-old Mehedi Hasan, son of Nazrul Islam Liton alias Babu Mia is a student of class VII.

Family sources told this correspondent that Mehedi was abducted by a gang when he was going to a mosque to say Faz'r prayers near their house. Later, the abductors demanded Tk 2 lakh as ransom for his release.

When contacted, Sirajganj Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Abdul Jabbar said they could not rescue the boy despite frantic efforts.
