Train robbery in Mymensingh

When the Mymensingh-bound train coming from Bhairab reached Gouripur station, a group of robbers numbering 15 boarded the train in guise of passengers. As the train started moving, the criminals mainly teenagers, started looting the belongings of passengers. On refusal, they attacked the passengers with sharp weapons.

One of the passengers, Md Abdul Awali 35, son of Sohrab Hossain of Char Gobindapur village, also secretary of No 2 Gouripur Union Parishad received multiple injuries. He is undergoing treatment at Ward No 8 of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH).
