Transport strike on Jessore-Satkhira route from today
The Bangladesh Paribahan Sangstha Sramik Samity, a local transport workers union, yesterday called a 48-hour transport strike on the Jessore-Keshabpur-Satkhira route from today in protest against registration of Keshabpur Road Tranport Workers' Union by Khulna divisional trade union registrar.
The Paribahan Sangstha Sramik Samity termed the new workers union illegal and demanded cancellation of its registration.
It also submitted a memorandum to Jessore Deputy commissioner in this regard on Saturday.
