Jubo League leader shot dead
Kamrul Hasan Ripon, 30, a leader of Shariatpur district committee of Jubo League, was gunned down by unidentified terrorists Thursday midnight at Barho Kandi Durgahat under Razia upazila of the district. He was going to Dhaka in a rented car.
Quoting eye witnesses, police said a gang of about ten intercepted the car, dragged him out and sprayed bullets on him, killing him on the spot.
Police handed over the body to his relatives after autopsy at 11 am yesterday. A case was filed with police station without naming any accused. None was arrested so far.
