Tk 3 lakh bounty for arrest of outlaw leader

The government has declared a bounty of Tk three lakh for information leading to arrest of Shaikh Haroon, ringleader of M-L faction of outlawed Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP). He hails from Rupsha upazila in Khulna district.

Haroon is the younger brother of Sheikh Abdur Rashid alias Tapu who was second-in-command of PBCP (M-L).

Rashid was killed in an encounter with police in 2004 at Fakirhat in Bagerhat.

According to Director General of RAB Abdul Aziz Sarker, any one helping the elite force arrest outlaw Haroon will be paid Tk three lakh as bounty.

According to intelligence sources leaders of all underground parties active in South-Western region recently held a secret meeting in Dinajpur. Some extremists from India reportedly joined the meeting which was presided over by founder of PBCP Janajuddho Abdur Rashid Malitha alias Dada Tapan.
