Sukumar Barua honoured

The award, which includes Tk 25,000 and a crest, was handed over to him at a simple function held at Moulvibazar Public Library auditorium yesterday.

The function was presided over by short story-writer and journalist Akmal Hussain Nipu. Literatteurs Shihab Shahrier, Abdul Hamid Mahbub, Aminur Rashid Babar, Mohibul Amin, Shahabuddin, Mokbul Hussain, Mahfuzur Rahman and Prof Abdul Khalique, among others attended the function.

Probas Prokashoni published a book of rhymes titled 'Thik Achhe Thik Achhe', composed by Sukumar Barua during the Ekushey Book Fair this year.
