4 murdered in 2 dists

Four people were murdered in two separate incidents in Chuadanga and Jhenidah yesterday.

Bodies of Ahad Ali Mandal and Azmal Ali of Ershadnagar in Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga were found in a field with their throats slit.

According to Chuadanga police, farmers Ahad and Azmal had gone to irrigate their lands two kilometres off their home, at around 8pm on Sunday. Both of them were missing since then. Locals found their bodies on a nearby field yesterday morning.

Police recovered the bodies yesterday morning and sent those to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Police said they have been killed at around midnight on Sunday.

Jhenidah police recovered two bodies from a ditch in Kotchand-pur Railway Colony in the town yesterday.

The dead were identified as Alauddin, 30, of Adarshapara and Budo, 22, of Khalispur in Kotchandpur upazila in the district.

Police said rickshawpuller Alauddin was missing since Sunday morning, while Budo, a honey trader, left home in the evening on Sunday and was missing since then.
