Main accused Rahimuddin arrested

He is in custody of Gulshan thana. A police team left for Dhaka yesterday to bring him to Durgapur police station, its Officer-in-Charge told this correspondent.

Satyaban Hajong, general secretary of Bangladesh Hajong Unnayan Parishad, was killed at Lakmipur village in Durgapur upazila in Netrakona on April 23.

A case was filed with Durgapur police station accusing 10 people persons including Rahimuddin, Kazimuddin and Suruj Mia. The three were absconding since the murder.

"We are trying to arrest rest of the accused", the OC said. Satyaban hailed from Manikpur village in Kalmakanda upazila.
