Indigenous man hacked to death in Rangamati

At least10 unidentified assailants, wearing masks, entered the house of Rui Aung Marma , 35, by breaking open the door at around 11.30 pm, police said. They hacked him with sharp machetes and left the scene when Rui died.

Police recovered the body yesterday and sent it to Rangamati General Hospital for autopsy.

A case was lodged with Kawkhali Police Station.

However, the reason behind the killing is yet to be known.
