Scheduled flag meet not held

On Sunday, two flag meetings were held at Joynagar after Friday's gun battle between the two border guards at Nimtola in Danurhuda upazila in Chuadanga district.

The meetings decided that another flag meeting would be held on Monday at the same venue where BSF would hand over the body of a Bangladeshi, killed in BSF fire on Friday.

Yusuf Ali, 36, of Iswarchand-rapur village in Damurhuda upazila was killed during the eight-hour shootout between BDR and BSF. BSF took away the body.

BDR sources said BSF yesterday sent a letter asking for another date for the flag meeting.
