“Shikar” launched

The launching ceremony of “Shikar”, a novel written by Mohammad Fazlul Haque, was held at Muslim Institute auditorium on Saturday evening.

The novel has been published at the ongoing Ekushey Book Fair.

Fazlul Haque, writer and playwright, was honoured with the Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award in 2014 for his creative contributions to the field of Bengali literature.

Trishal Mohila Degree College Teachers Association organised the programme.

A discussion was also held with DC of Mymensingh Mustakim Billah Faruqui as the chief guest. Poet Hasnat Lokman, Professor Afzal Rahman and secretary of Mymensingh Press Club Ataul Karim Khokon were as special guests.

Fazlul  Haque delivered the welcome speech. Principal Selimul Haque Talukder presided over the event.
