Avoid fake saline

Recent media reports have brought to light the illegal production and sale of fake rice-based oral saline that is being sold on the open market.
Icddr,b management takes this matter very seriously and would like to inform consumers that original packets of icddr,b ­branded glucose and rice-based oral saline produced by the icddr,b Employees' Multipurpose Cooperative Society are sold only through the Cooperative Society office, at icddr,b’s diagnostic service centre and inside the Dhaka Hospital.
This saline is not intended for sale anywhere else. Icddr,b cannot vouch for the authenticity of ORS packets not bought from these authorised outlets and strongly advises members of the public against purchasing them, says a press release.
