Be a Man, Boy

Be a Man, Boy

I am not a manly person. I have no interest in cars and am still not sure what an Ashraful is. Bit of a disappointment in a society with rigid ideas of what it means to belong to a given sex. It's about time we questioned why we try to mould our boys to fit our arbitrary standards. This is one of the most important cover stories we have run, and I hope people give it the attention it deserves.

Speaking of gender issues, far too often the discourse on sex focuses on the polar opposites of male and female, ignoring the people who fall in the middle of that spectrum. We bring you the story of one person who was born intersex, and the trials of growing up surrounded by ignorance and prejudice.

On a lighter note, the Unmad-JCC Comic Con 2014 starts today. We bring you the inside story and familiarise you with the people involved. Launder your capes.
