Dhaka, Chittagong stocks edge up

The prime indices of Dhaka and Chattogram bourses rose slightly in the morning session today.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), added 3 points, or 0.05 per cent, to 6,334 at 11:30 am.

Turnover stood at Tk 114 crore.

Of the securities, 107 advanced, 61 declined and 127 remained unchanged.

The Caspi, the all-share price index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, inched up 2 points, or 0.01 per cent, to 18,712.

Of the issues, 41 rose, 28 retreated, and 40 saw no price movement.

Turnover of the port city bourse stood at Tk 2.8 crore at 11:35 am.
