Ahsanullah University asked to give explanation for question leak

The Bangladesh Bank today sought explanation from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) due to its alleged involvement in leaking question papers of preliminary tests of five state-owned banks.

Md Serajul Islam, spokesperson and an executive director of the central bank, said the BB had asked the university to send reply to the letter by November 14.

The banking regulator will take next steps based on the reply sent by the university.

A BB official said that the exam would be cancelled if AUST did not reply to the central bank in an accurate manner.

The university was tasked with preparing questions for exams for the post of officers (cash) of five banks under the Bankers Selection' Committee of the BB.

The exams were held on November 6.
