Bangladesh’s development spending rises 29% in July

The implementation of Bangladesh's Annual Development Programme (ADP) rose 29 percent year-on-year to Tk 2,121 crore in July, the first month of 2026-27 fiscal year.

Despite the increase in spending, the implementation rate remained unchanged at 0.69 percent, the same as in July of the previous fiscal year, according to official data.

In July of FY2025-26, ADP expenditure stood at Tk 1,644 crore.

The Health Services Division recorded zero spending, while the Medical Education and Family Welfare Division also posted no ADP expenditure in July.
