BYD Bangladesh ties test drives to green initiative
BYD Bangladesh, country’s leading electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, will plant a tree for every completed test drive at all its outlets across the country throughout September under its “BYD Green Drive” initiative.
The nationwide campaign will run from September 1 to 30 under the tagline “Drive Today. Grow Tomorrow”, according to a press release.
At the end of the campaign, BYD Bangladesh will consolidate the number of completed test drives to determine the total number of trees to be planted.
The initiative is part of BYD’s broader environmental efforts and is aligned with its corporate mission and global vision, “Cool the Earth by 1°C”.
Commenting on the campaign, Imtiaz Nawsher, chief marketing officer of BYD Bangladesh, said, “A test drive is often where a customer’s journey with a vehicle begins.”
“We wanted to make that first step count for something beyond the drive itself.”
“With Green Drive, each journey can help create something that keeps growing, and together, those journeys can make a meaningful contribution to a greener Bangladesh,” he added.
Anyone can participate in the initiative by taking a test drive of a BYD new-energy vehicle.
