Customs houses to operate on limited scale during Eid holidays

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has instructed all customs houses and stations to keep import and export operations running on a limited scale during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha holidays.

According to a circular issued by the NBR today, the directive will remain in effect during public and weekly holidays from May 25 to May 31, excluding the day of Eid.

The revenue authority has urged relevant officials to take necessary measures to ensure that the country’s external trade remains uninterrupted during the festive period.

The decision follows requests from various stakeholders seeking facilitation of trade operations and the maintenance of supply chain continuity during the extended holiday period.
