Daraz's 11.11 campaign records Tk 170 crore in sales

Online marketplace Daraz recorded Tk 170 crore in sales from its daylong sale campaign 11.11 that ran on November 11 offering discounts and vouchers, said one of its top officials.

The amount was double of the sales the e-commerce platform recorded last year, said Tajdin Hassan, chief marketing officer of Daraz Bangladesh.

Some 5.10 lakh customers placed orders during the campaign in Bangladesh until 10 pm since the sales went live at 12 am, said Hassan.  

The single day sales campaign was celebrated across the world, including in five South Asian countries: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar and Pakistan, where Daraz operates.

Daraz is a concern of Alibaba Group.
