Govt exempts excise duty on Hajj air tickets
The exemption will remain in place until June 2026

The government has exempted excise duty on air tickets for Hajj pilgrims for both outbound and return flights.
The exemption will take effect immediately and remain in place until June 2026, the finance ministry said in a notification today.
Currently, the National Board of Revenue charges Tk 2,500 per trip as excise duty.
