Govt keeps national savings rates unchanged for Jul-Dec
The interest rates on all national savings certificates and schemes will remain unchanged during July-December 2026, according to a finance ministry notification issued today.
The rates that were applicable for January-June will continue to apply for the next six months under the same terms and conditions.
The unchanged rates will be effective from July 1, for existing savings certificates.
Currently, for the five-year Bangladesh Sanchayapatra, the rate stands at 11.83 percent for the first slab and 11.80 percent for the second slab.
The three-monthly profit-based Sanchayapatra will continue to offer 11.82 percent under the first slab and 11.77 percent under the second slab.
The Pensioner Sanchayapatra rate remains at 11.98 percent for the first slab and 11.80 percent for the second slab, while the Paribar (Family) Sanchayapatra rate stays at 11.93 percent and 11.80 percent for the first and second slabs, respectively.
Post Office Fixed Deposits will also continue at 11.82 percent for the first slab and 11.77 percent for the second slab.
