Holding diploma not mandatory for bankers’ promotion: BB

Holding a banking diploma as a requirement for a promotion has been relaxed for bankers, who were appointed or promoted before February 8 of 2023, the central bank said in a circular today.

The circular invalidated the earlier regulation issued on February 8 of 2023, which made securing the diploma mandatory for bankers for a promotion to senior officers and above.

Even bankers appointed or promoted before February 8, 2023, will be considered for promotion if they fail professional exams.
