InterContinental Dhaka to host two-day wedding festival from July 31
InterContinental Dhaka, a luxury hotel under IHG Hotels & Resorts, will host a two-day “Weddings Festival” at the Ruposhi Bangla Grand Ballroom and Winter Garden in the capital from July 31 to August 1.
The festival will bring together leading wedding and lifestyle brands, offering visitors a one-stop destination for wedding planning, according to a press release.
Mohammad Mozammal Hoque, company secretary of Bangladesh Services Ltd, the owner of InterContinental Dhaka, unveiled details of the event at a press conference held at the hotel on Thursday.
He said the festival aims to showcase the country’s leading wedding and lifestyle brands under one roof while offering couples an immersive planning experience.
The event will feature luxury wedding venues, exclusive packages, curated décor ideas, bridal and groom fashion, jewellery collections, honeymoon packages, and wedding photography and cinematography services.
It will also showcase makeup and beauty consultations, banking solutions, interior design concepts, home appliances, premium footwear, luxury watches, wedding invitation services, cosmetics, beauty products and luxury automobiles.
Visitors will also receive free pre-marital medical counselling.
The festival will include cultural performances, a fashion show, Qawwali performances and a raffle draw, with a Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka air ticket for a couple among the prizes.
To complement the celebration, Elements Global Dining at InterContinental Dhaka will offer a special wedding-inspired dinner from July 29 to August 1.
Guests can enjoy signature-wedding dishes, including mutton kacchi biryani, chicken roast, assorted kebabs and other traditional favourites. A Buy 1 Get 3 dining offer will also be available through selected partner banks.
Among others, Olivier Loreaux, director of food and beverage at the hotel; Md Shafquat Hossain, deputy managing director and head of retail banking at Mutual Trust Bank PLC; Raiatun Tehrin, senior marketing manager at SMC Enterprise Ltd; Shah Mohammed Didarul Alam Dipu, head of creative at Persona Hair & Beauty Ltd; Bristy Khandakar, assistant manager at Amisheè Jewellery; Md Amanur Rahman (Aman), executive director of Dream Weaver; and Chowdhury Md Nabil Hasan, divisional head of marketing at Rancon Motors Limited, were also present at the press conference.
