All portfolio and relationship managers of LankaBangla Securities PLC have obtained professional certification in “Fundamentals of Trading and Technical Analysis” from the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM), according to a statement issued yesterday.

The company described the achievement as an industry-first initiative aimed at strengthening professional expertise and improving the quality of investment services in the country’s capital market.

BICM Executive President Wajid Hasan Shah handed over the certificates to Mohammad Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, managing director of LankaBangla Securities, at a recent ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Shah said the initiative would help enhance the professional capabilities of market intermediaries and enable them to provide investors with better-informed services.

“Such initiatives will play an important role in the overall development of the capital market by enhancing professional capabilities,” he said.

Chowdhury said skilled professionals were essential for building a stronger and more knowledge-based capital market.

“To build a stronger and more knowledge-based capital market, skilled professionals are indispensable,” he said, adding that the certification would strengthen the team’s capabilities in trading and technical analysis.

The certification initiative is part of LankaBangla Securities’ efforts to strengthen the professional knowledge and analytical capabilities of its employees, the company said.

It expects the initiative to contribute to more knowledge-driven investment services and help build investor confidence and a more sustainable capital market.
