Bangladesh’s first national-level competition for AI-powered content creators, titled “Prism AI Creative Award 2026”, was launched at a ceremony held at PRAN-RFL Group’s headquarters in Badda, Dhaka on Wednesday.

Sponsored by PRAN-RFL Group, the competition was organised by SpikeStory Limited to provide young people with opportunities to develop their creative thinking, storytelling skills and innovative capabilities through artificial intelligence (AI).

Participants can submit their work in four categories: AI advertising, film, music video and fashion.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Kamruzzaman Kamal, director of marketing at PRAN-RFL Group, said AI is rapidly transforming the creative industries, contributing to areas ranging from advertising and animation to music videos and fashion.

“One of the key objectives of this competition is to connect Bangladesh’s young generation with this technology and bring the country’s promising AI creators onto a national platform,” he said.

Hossain Al Farabi, co-founder and chief operating officer of SpikeStory, said the competition aims to discover young people who can use AI to create innovative and imaginative work.

He said the initiative would also create opportunities for collaboration among young creators, professionals, technology companies, educational institutions and brands.

The organisers will hold workshops at universities and educational institutions across the country, offering hands-on training in prompt engineering, storytelling and AI-powered content creation.

Following preliminary selection, 12 finalists will be chosen from each category. They will participate in a two-day “Prism AI Boot Camp”, featuring training in AI tools, creative strategy, storytelling and prompt engineering.

The final round, “Prism AI Creative Summit” and awards ceremony will be held in October. The winner and runner-up in each category will share Tk 10 lakh in prize money.

The competition’s partners include The Daily Star, Seeb’s Solution, Astha IT, 10 Minute School, Maroon Inc, Aleph Group, Bangladesh Open Source Network, AI Varsity and the ICE Centre of the University of Dhaka.
