Bengal Commercial Bank partners with Bengal Islami Life on cardholder protection
Bengal Commercial Bank PLC signed an agreement with Bengal Islami Life Insurance to provide enhanced protection to the bank’s credit cardholders through the “Credit Shield” facility.
Under the agreement, the Credit Shield facility will provide financial protection to Bengal credit cardholders and their families against events such as death, disability and critical illness.
KM Awlad Hossain, managing director of the bank, and MM Monirul Alam, managing director and CEO of the life insurance company, signed the agreement at the bank’s head office in Gulshan, Dhaka, on Monday, according to a press release.
Speaking at the event, Awlad said, “We aim to protect our customers from unforeseen financial risks and ensure responsible banking through Credit Shield.”
Md Jashim Uddin, chairman of the bank, attended the signing ceremony.
He said, “Bengal Commercial Bank has always prioritised excellence in customer service. We are committed to keeping pace with the modern world and bringing more innovative and customer-focused services to our customers.”
Md Amin Helali, vice-chairman of the life insurer, was also present at the ceremony, along with senior officials from both organisations.
