House Building Finance wins award for innovative initiative

Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC) has won the award for the best innovative initiative, titled “Automating the Document Return Process”, in the “E-Governance and Innovative Initiative” competition.

The institution earned the award in the non-bank financial institution category, according to a press release.

Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, minister for finance and planning, handed over the award to Md Noore Alam Sarder, managing director (current charge) of BHBFC, at the multipurpose hall of the Ministry of Finance in Dhaka yesterday.

Nazma Mobarek, secretary of the Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance, presided over the award ceremony.

Senior officials of the departments and agencies under the Financial Institutions Division were also present at the prize-giving ceremony.
