LB Group delegation visits Aqua Paints factory in Dhaka

A three-member delegation from LB Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of titanium dioxide (TiO₂), visited Octagon Fibres & Chemicals Limited (OFCL), a factory of Aqua Paints, in Dhaka yesterday.

The delegation comprised Lingfeg Yan, Renzhen Wang and Yun Men from LB Group, according to a press release.

Senior representatives from Aqua Paints and OFCL welcomed the delegation and held discussions on technical and business matters, with a focus on raw materials and paint manufacturing.

Titanium dioxide is one of the most important raw materials used in the paint and coatings industry, contributing to whiteness, opacity, brightness, coverage, colour performance and durability.

Aqua Paints uses high-performance TiO₂ grades, including both chloride-process and sulfate-process variants, depending on product requirements and applications.

The visit highlighted Aqua Paints’ emphasis on quality raw materials, formulation development and close technical collaboration with global suppliers.

During the programme, the LB Group delegation toured Aqua Paints’ manufacturing facilities and observed its production processes, quality-control systems, laboratory practices and operational capabilities.

The visit also included a corporate presentation and discussions on TiO₂ performance, paint formulation, dispersion, opacity, durability, weather resistance and the evolving needs of Bangladesh’s coatings market.

Aqua Paints has maintained a longstanding relationship with LB Group and was among the early paint manufacturers in Bangladesh to use the company’s TiO₂ products. The partnership reflects Aqua Paints’ commitment to combining global raw-material expertise with local manufacturing strength.

Company representatives said Aqua Paints remains committed to producing high-quality paint products through stronger backward linkages, improved compliance, better raw-material selection and continued investment in technical capabilities.

Officials from both organisations expressed optimism that the partnership would continue to grow, supporting quality, innovation and sustainable development in Bangladesh’s paint and coatings industry.
