Prime Bank teams up with British Council for learning initiatives

Prime Bank PLC has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with the British Council in Bangladesh to strengthen learning, professional development and employee empowerment, while extending benefits to customers ranging from young learners to adults.

The partnership reinforces both organisations’ commitment to building a more inclusive, empowered and future-ready workplace.

Robin Clark, chief revenue officer of the British Council in Bangladesh, and Faisal Rahman, chief executive officer of Prime Bank, signed the agreement recently at the bank’s corporate office in Dhaka, according to a press release.

Speaking on the occasion, Faisal said, “Through our Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, we are committed to creating an environment where every individual has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.”

“Our partnership with the British Council reflects this commitment by providing our employees with globally recognised learning opportunities that will strengthen their capabilities and enable them to create a greater impact both within the workplace and beyond,” he added.

Highlighting the significance of the partnership, Zunayed Ahmed, head of market for Bangladesh, English and Exams at the British Council, said, “This partnership adds Prime Bank’s financial support to that offer, while extending our English and leadership training into their workplace.”

Under the partnership, Prime Bank employees will benefit from exclusive access to the British Council’s internationally recognised learning solutions, including specially curated programmes focused on communication, leadership, workplace effectiveness and professional skills development.

In addition, Prime Bank customers, including members of women banking, Neera and student banking, will enjoy offers on selected British Council services, further demonstrating the bank’s commitment to creating meaningful value beyond traditional banking.

Among others, M Nazeem A Choudhury, additional managing director of the bank; Shaila Abedin, senior executive vice-president and head of diversity and inclusion; Tahnee Yeasmin, director of business development at the council; and Shehrin Shibly, head of business development – business and education, were also present.
