Southeast Bank holds workshop on empowering women entrepreneurs
Southeast Bank PLC recently organised a workshop, titled “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs of the Bank through Strengthening Customer Service”, at the bank’s training institute in Dhaka.
A total of 70 executives and officials from the head office and various branches took part in the workshop.
MA Kashem, chairman of the bank, inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest, according to a press release.
In his address, Kashem emphasised that more women-centric banking services should be strengthened to bring the maximum number of women under formal banking coverage, enabling them to establish themselves as self-reliant members of society.
Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Khandker Badrul Hassan, Nur Nahar Tarin and Md Rafiqul Islam, directors of the bank, along with Sultana Kashem, a sponsor shareholder, attended the event.
During the session, they shared their valuable insights and strategic suggestions for strengthening customer service.
Md Khalid Mahmood Khan, managing director and CEO of the bank, delivered an introductory speech on the bank’s policy for empowering women entrepreneurs.
Southeast Bank PLC remains committed to fostering inclusive growth and empowering women entrepreneurs through enhanced customer service and dedicated training initiatives, the release added.
Sayma Banu, head of the bank’s training institute; Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, additional managing director and chief operating officer of the bank; Md Mahbub Alam, additional managing director and chief risk officer; and Mohammed Rashedul Amin and Sekander E-Azam, deputy managing directors, were also present.
