AKIJ iBOS launches ‘Qurbani Run’ gaming tournament
AKIJ iBOS Limited has launched a gaming tournament titled “Qurbani Run” for young gamers across Bangladesh.
The tournament was inaugurated at AKIJ House in Tejgaon on Saturday, according to a press release.
The competition is being hosted on AKIJ iBOS’s gaming platform “Illusion Arc”.
Participants can register through the platform to join the tournament, which will continue until June 10.
The organisers said the top 25 participants will receive prizes including refrigerators, washing machines and microwave ovens.
AKIJ iBOS Chief Executive Officer Zayed Bin Rashid said the initiative aims to create a healthy entertainment environment for young people.
He said, “It is essential to create healthy alternatives to keep young people away from drugs, online betting and other harmful addictions.”
He added, “The core purpose of ‘Illusion Arc’ is to build a homegrown platform for Bangladesh’s gaming community.”
According to the organisers, the initiative is intended to support the growth of Bangladesh’s gaming industry and encourage local youth participation in digital entertainment platforms.
Among others present at the event were AKIJ Resource Chief People Officer Md Afsar Uddin, Chief Business Development Officer Towfique Hassan, Cluster Chief Executive Officer of AKIJ Building Solutions Limited Asadul Haque Sufyani, Head of Corporate Services Major Zahidul Hassan (Retd), and lead developer of the “Qurbani Run” game Jubayer Al Hasan.
