DBL Ceramics campaign wins dual awards at The One Show 2026
DBL Ceramics’ “TileChalk” campaign has received Merit Awards in the Green Pencil and Sustainable Development Goals Pencil categories at The One Show 2026.
The company said the recognition makes DBL Ceramics the first Bangladeshi ceramics brand to receive honours at the global awards programme, according to a press release.
Before winning at The One Show, the campaign also received recognition at Spikes Asia, ADFEST and The AdForum PHNX Tribute 2026.
TileChalk is a sustainability initiative that converts ceramic sludge generated during tile production into classroom chalk.
According to the company, the initiative aims to reduce industrial waste while supporting underprivileged schools with educational materials.
DBL Ceramics said the TileChalk formula has been made open-source to allow other manufacturers to use the process.
DBL Ceramics Chief Business Officer Mohammad Bayazed Bashar said, “We are truly happy and humbled by this recognition.”
He said the initiative was originally developed to address an internal production challenge and later evolved into a broader sustainability project.
He added, “Our real success is ensuring zero dumping at our factories and delivering learning tools to underprivileged children.”
The company said the campaign demonstrates how industrial waste can be repurposed for environmental and educational purposes through sustainable innovation.
