Dhaka to host Bangladesh’s first modest fashion expo in May

Bangladesh’s first modest fashion and halal lifestyle expo will be held in Dhaka on May 15-16.

The Dhaka Modest Fashion Expo (DMFE) 2026 will take place at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, says a press release.

Organisers said the event aims to bring together brands, international partners, policymakers and industry leaders to support the growth of Bangladesh’s modest fashion sector. More than 100 brands are expected to join the expo.

According to the State of the Global Islamic Economy Report by DinarStandard, the global modest fashion industry is valued at more than $300 billion and is projected to exceed $430 billion by 2028.

Dr Anika Tahsin Khan, CEO of Impact Arc Solutions and founder of DMFE, said, “If Bangladesh captures even 5% of the global modest fashion market, it represents a $15 billion opportunity.”
