DU MPHRM programme holds professional development event

The Master of Professional Human Resource Management (MPHRM) programme under the Department of Management at the University of Dhaka organised “Professional Development Program 3.0” on Friday at the R C Majumdar Arts Auditorium of the university.

The programme was held on the theme “Redefining HR Leadership in an Era of Continuous Change”, according to a press release.

The session featured A H M Kamal, executive vice-president and head of HR policy and strategy at Mercantile Bank PLC, and K M Sabbir Ahmed, director of human resources at Marico Bangladesh Limited, as resource persons.

They discussed issues including workforce management, organisational transformation, talent development and the evolving role of human resource professionals.

Professor Mohammad Thoufiqul Islam, chairman of the Department of Management, attended the programme as distinguished faculty.

The programme was chaired by Professor Md Mesbah Uddin, coordinator of the MPHRM programme.

Students, teachers and professionals participated in the session.

The discussion also focused on adaptive leadership, organisational culture, innovation and professional development in changing business environments.
