EWU holds orientation for Summer 2026 students
East West University (EWU) organised an orientation programme for around 2,200 newly admitted students of the Summer Semester 2026 at its Aftabnagar campus in Dhaka.
The programme included departmental orientation sessions aimed at introducing students to the university’s academic environment, code of conduct and campus facilities, according to a press release.
The sessions also provided information on scholarship opportunities and academic activities.
EWU Board of Trustees Chairperson and former Bangladesh Bank governor Mohammed Farashuddin attended the programme.
Among others present were EWU Vice-Chancellor Shams Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor Ashik Mosaddik, Treasurer Air Commodore (Retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, deans, department chairpersons, faculty members and students.
Successful alumni and industry representatives also attended the sessions and shared professional experiences with the students.
Speakers encouraged the students to uphold ethical values, develop leadership and communication skills, and continue learning to prepare for a competitive and technology-driven world.
