Presidency University holds BBA Orientation and Picnic 2026
The Department of Business Administration at Presidency University organised its "BBA Orientation & Picnic 2026", combining an orientation programme for newly admitted students with its annual departmental gathering.
The event was held at a resort near Dhaka under the theme "Community Building, Personal Growth, and Academic Readiness", according to a press release.
Prof. Dr. Md. Anwarul Kabir, principal adviser of Presidency University, attended the programme as the chief guest. It was chaired by Prof. Abul Kalam, dean of the School of Business, and convened by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Julfikar Ali, head of the Department of Business Administration.
Md. Mahamud Hosain, FCA, managing partner of Mahamud Sabuj & Co. Chartered Accountants & Management Consultants, delivered the keynote address.
Among those present were Registrar Md. Sakir Hossain, Musfiqur Rahman Dhrubo, deputy director and head of the Department of Strategic Development and Students Affairs, and Shishir Das, lecturer and BBA coordinator, who managed the event.
Addressing the programme, Prof. Dr. Md. Anwarul Kabir welcomed the new students and highlighted the university's commitment to developing future business leaders.
In his keynote address, Md. Mahamud Hosain encouraged students to complement academic learning with practical knowledge of the corporate sector.
The programme concluded with cultural performances, games and a raffle draw involving students, faculty members and invited guests.
