Stamford University holds QAC meeting on quality assurance measures

Stamford University Bangladesh held a meeting of its Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) to review academic and administrative priorities.

The meeting was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Sharif Nafe AS-Saber, , says a press release.

Members of the committee discussed measures to strengthen quality assurance and institutional transparency.

The committee decided to reconstitute the Committee for Educational Compliance to improve regulatory alignment and internal oversight.

It also reviewed Key Performance Indicator data for 2024 and agreed on a structured framework for submission.

The QAC approved the introduction of mandatory peer evaluation systems at the departmental level.

The committee reaffirmed English as the medium of instruction.

It also finalised the organogram of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell and approved a training budget for faculty development.

The meeting introduced faculty mentoring programmes and training initiatives on Outcome-Based Education, teaching practices and language skills.

The university said the measures are aimed at improving academic standards and institutional efficiency.
