Visa launches Ramadan–Eid campaign with ‘Spend & Win’ rewards
Visa has launched its Ramadan and Eid 2026 campaign in Bangladesh, encouraging cardholders to shop “Mon Khule” during the festive season and take part in a Spend & Win offer.
The campaign runs from February 1 to March 31, 2026. During this period, eligible Visa card transactions will qualify customers for prize draws, including an international trip as the grand prize. Other rewards include televisions, smartphones, jewellery and gift vouchers. Each qualifying transaction increases the chances of winning.
Sabbir Ahmed, Country Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan at Visa, said Ramadan and Eid are closely associated with joy, generosity and togetherness in Bangladesh.
“At Visa, we’re proud to celebrate these moments by rewarding cardholders as they shop for their loved ones. Our aim is to make the festive season more meaningful, using the simplicity and security of paying with Visa,” he said.
Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr represent the busiest shopping period of the year in Bangladesh. The festive season contributes an estimated Tk 1.5 trillion to the national economy annually, with nearly 70% of Dhaka’s yearly apparel sales taking place around Eid.
Retail, travel, food, electronics and gifting sectors typically experience increased activity during this time. Families prioritise essential purchases, gifts and shared experiences.
Visa said digital payments continue to gain traction, with e-commerce activity typically rising by 40–50% during Ramadan as consumers opt for secure and convenient payment methods.
Shoppers are increasingly moving between physical stores and online platforms, with card payments playing a growing role in enabling fast and secure transactions for groceries, clothing, electronics and travel bookings.
Visa said the campaign reflects both the spirit of generosity during Eid and the expanding role of digital payments in Bangladesh’s festive economy.
