UIU BBA in AIS receives IIA Academic Alliance accreditation

The BBA in Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) programme of United International University has received “Academic Alliance” accreditation from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), USA.

According to a press release, UIU has been listed as an Academic Affiliate-level university under the IIA’s Internal Audit Academic Alliance Programme, becoming the second university in Bangladesh to receive the recognition.

The IIA formally conveyed the accreditation through an official letter to the university.

The Internal Audit Academic Alliance was established to recognise universities that demonstrate commitment to preparing students for careers in internal auditing. Participating institutions are evaluated on their efforts to equip students with knowledge, skills and ethical foundations relevant to the profession.

The university said the accreditation reflects the alignment of its BBA in AIS curriculum with international standards in internal audit education and strengthens its efforts to bridge academia and industry.

The IIA is also a partner of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), an international accreditation body for business schools.
