''Child in child's lap''

It was really shocking to see the above titled news on November 27, 2014 about little Shilpi Rani of the Badia community of Nilphamari who became a mother at the age of 11. Her father married her off at such a tender age as he was worried about her security, but he was totally unaware about his daughter's health. Eleven is not the age to become a mother. Lack of education and poverty are the root causes of child marriage. I request the government to take necessary actions that would ensure safe childhood for the girls of our country.
