6 injured in turf war in Dakshin Khan
At least six persons were injured during a turf war in Dhaka’s Dakshin Khan today.
In an apparent act of revenge and motivated form establishing supremacy, some 100 people of South Chalabon attacked Hajipara locals this afternoon.
About 100 people from South Chalabon attacked a few houses of Hajipara with sticks, rods, and machetes at 1:00pm, witnesses have told The Daily Star.
An injured, Touhidur Rahman Rony, told The Daily Star the “attack” came in revenge for a youth of South Chalabon, Sakil, who was assaulted in Hajipara yesterday.
The six injured are -- Jummon Khan, 22, Al-amin 22, Touhidur Rahman Rony, 20, Emon, 19, Rony and Emon's mother Kulsum Begum, 40, and Shaon, 23.
"This was an act of revenge. Who beat Sakil yesterday were targeted," Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dakshin Khan Police Station Tapon Kumar Shaha told The Daily Star.
Without giving any details the OC said, police have detained three persons in this connection.
