10kg gold seized at Dhaka airport

Customs officials seized 10 gold bars weighing around 10kgs at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

The gold, worth Tk 5 crore arrived in two boxes on a flight from Singapore around 10:40pm on Monday, Othello Chowdhury, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Customs House said.

The boxes carried a fake address, he said, adding that investigation is on to identify those behind the smuggling.
